I recently saw this film again, it made just as much an impression as the first time that I saw it. If it comes up on any of your film channels, don’t miss it.

Last night I went to see this wonderful film, “Youth” at the London Film Festival

Masterfully directed & written by the Italian director Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty) starring Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel and Rachel Weisz.

The film focuses on the theme of growing old and the fears related to it. With its beautiful cinematography and breathtaking scenery it is definitely one to see on the big screen.

I was fortunate to be part of this film and can be seen towards the end just before the credits roll. Taking part in that scene, which features  both Michael Caine and the beautiful coloratura soprano Sumi Jo, was an emotional  experience I shall never forget, and it was very moving to see it once again in its full cinematic glory.

A film about life!

On general release in the UK 29th January 2016.
